I write on behalf of Random House, Inc., including the Del Rey publishing imprint, which holds exclusive publishing rights to certain copyrighted literary works of Anne McCaffrey (the “Copyrighted Works”) as set forth on the attached Schedule A. It has come to our attention that the Copyrighted Works are among the literary works being made available through the website located at www.mylibrarybook.com (the “Website”).
As you are no doubt aware, there has been no license granted to the Website from any imprint of Random House, Inc. Accordingly, the Copyrighted Works available on the Website have been reproduced — and are being distributed — without authorization, in violation of U.S. Copyright law.
This letter constitutes notice of infringement, pursuant to Section 512(c)(3) of the U.S. Copyright Act, to the extent such notice is required. Although the domain name associated with the Website suggests otherwise, there is no legal justification for the Website’s activities in copying, storing, and distributing the Copyrighted Works: the Website bears no resemblance to a library and its function is not comparable to that of a legitimate lending institution. On the contrary, the Website appears to have been designed, and to operate, specifically for the purpose of committing and facilitating copyright infringement.
The continuing availability of the Copyrighted Works on the Website exposes the Website to liability for copyright infringement and may also constitute contributory infringement by the Website’s partners and affiliates.
We hereby demand that you immediately remove or block access to the Copyrighted Material listed on the attached Schedule A.
In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we represent in good faith that neither Random House, the author of the Copyrighted Works, nor any of our respective agents, nor any provision of law, has authorized the availability of the Copyrighted Works through the Website.
The information contained in this notification is accurate. Under penalty of perjury, I declare that I am authorized to act on behalf of Random House, Inc., which is an owner of exclusive rights that are allegedly infringed, as described above.
Should you wish to contact this office of Random House, Inc., the telephone number, fax number, and email address can be found below and on the first page of the mail-delivered copy of this letter.
The demands made herein shall not waive or prejudice any rights or remedies that Random House, Inc. and/or Anne McCaffrey may have in connection with the subject matter hereof, all of which rights and remedies are hereby expressly reserved.

Yes, indeed I was threated by “Random house” for hosting Anne McCaffreys books. Also got some angry comment from a “science fiction” who said the authors where loosing alot of money because I host their books… What can I say, the authors definitely loose a lot of money by hiring lawyers hunting sites like mine.
Mylibrarybook.com should be used as a reference, nothing else. I really don’t belive anyone would print and read the a book from here instead of buying it. Most likely it’s the other way around, you read about a book here and buy it.
I have deleted all Anne McCaffreys books, and I hope poor old Anne knows what her lawyers are doing.
